Enrich 2025: An evening dedicated to community, passion, and true netball club spirit for our Warriors members. Featuring special guest Joan Mills MBE (President of England Netball). Enrich ’25 was filled with inspiration, laughter, and insightful experiences from attendees and aimed to enhance the collaborative and joyful nature of the Warriors community off the netball court. The event ran incredibly smoothly thanks to our wonderful committee, who poured a huge amount of effort into the planning, as well as the generosity of our sponsors, Parfitt Cresswell and Saint Johns Yard.
The evening started with a complimentary glass of bubbly and a chance to socialise with other club members, as well as buy tickets for the charity raffle later in the event. All the photographs included in this blog were taken by our wonderful committee member, Amber, whose attention to detail captured how special this event was. After taking our seats with some delicious dessert canapes, the main event was kicked off with a welcome speech from the committee, alongside a fun game where those who had a ‘winners’ sticker under their chair were given a prize!
Next up was the part we had all been waiting for – we were so incredibly lucky to have the fantastic Joan Mills MBE (President of England Netball) speaking to us about her experiences. We were all a little starstruck, that’s for sure! Being interviewed by Kathryn, our treasurer, Joan took us on an inspirational journey sharing details of how she came to be in her current role, her opinions on the way netball is played today, as well as all of the adventures she’s been on, such as skydiving and climbing to Everest Basecamp! We were all completely in awe of her independence, attitude, and determination, and came away feeling so motivated to continue developing our Warriors community both on and off the court. We hope to stay in touch with Joan moving forward!
Our club chair, Caroline, then introduced the awards section of the evening – the Warriors Black Team were presented their medals (by Joan!) for winning Division 5 of the 2024 Tunbridge Wells Summer League. Awards were also presented to Warriors who have really stood out over the past year, including the ‘Taking Up Space’ award and the ‘Resilience’ award. The evening finished with our fantastic charity raffle, where members could win a whole host of prizes, including Gilbert netballs, chocolate, gin, and vouchers for mini golf, restaurants, and pottery painting.
Enrich ’25 was a fabulous evening which demonstrated the community spirit of the Warriors Netball Club. We are so grateful to Joan for coming to share her wisdom and experience with us, bringing such a valuable and unique perspective with her netball (and life!) journey. There was a resounding feeling of inspiration, motivation, and empowerment in the room.
The success of this event would not have been possible without the generous sponsorship of Parfitt Cresswell and Saint Johns Yard. Enrich ’25 highlights the importance of collaboration and sharing of experiences to promote the well-being of our community members. FOR ALL Photo's and video of he night click here.
