Warriors Book Club saw a group of book-loving Warriors congregate at St John's Yard to enjoy a drink and a lively discussion on Tin Man by Sarah Winman.

The below review is by Marie, Book Club Boss

“Sarah Winman is my favourite ever author, and like her other three novels, I completely fell head over heels in love with Tin Man.

Why? Because it is powerful, yet understated and full of deep emotional insight. It is heart-breakingly tragic and sad, delving into love, loss, loneliness, grief and regret, whilst simultaneously warm and tender. Her writing is sensitive, empathetic, introspective and exquisite. If you are looking for fast-paced action, this is definitely not the book for you. But if you enjoy a story that is genuine, simple, original and emotionally powerful, then you will love it.

It drew me in, had me emotionally captivated from beginning to end, pulled at my heartstrings and roamed around my mind for days afterwards. For me, that’s the sign of a beautifully written story.”
